Eleron Power has a state-of-the-art testing room working according to the CEI / IEC 17025 standard, equipped with the most modern tools for controlling electrical systems.
The equipment used is periodically calibrated by SIT laboratories (Calibration Service in Italy) according to current legislation.
Eleron offers the possibility to rent its laboratory to third parties for tests on their own products, performed by our specialized staff:
Impulse tests up to 300 kV
Resistance tests of electrical contacts
Temperature tests up to 3000 A
Frequency tests up to 150 kV - 50 Hz
Mechanical tests
Insulation tests up to 5 kV
Other types of tests can be carried out upon agreement with Eleron staff.
Eleron testing room is equipped with the following high voltage generation and measurement machineries:
Atmospheric impulse generator
Atmospheric impulse generator Passoni and Villa model GTS 300 kV, with a nominal charge voltage of 300kV and stored energy at maximum charge voltage of 7.5 kJ
50 Hz PIVI testing generator
50 Hz PIVI testing generator with nominal voltage of 150 kV and apparent nominal power of 30 kVA
Biddle instrument
Biddle instrument for measuring partial discharge for voltages up to 60 kV
One ball sparkgap
One ball sparkgap built by Elettromeccanica Tironi with a diameter of 25 cm
